A man on parole was arrested over the weekend and now has new felony drug charges. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a call came in of an overdose in Duchesne City in which Naloxone had been administered. The man, 28-year-old Jeremy Jay Burgin, was on parole with Adult Probation and Parole and so a compliance check was made at Burgin’s trailer. Cocaine, fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia were found throughout the trailer. A multi-colored pocket knife with a large blade was on the floor. After receiving a medical clearance, Burgin was placed under arrest and booked into Duchesne County Jail. He is charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Felony Possession or Use of a Controlled Substance and 3rd Degree Felony Possession of a Dangerous Weapon by a Restricted Person.
