A man wanted on an extraditable warrant was arrested in Uintah County last weekend but he didn’t make it easy on the officers. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 23-year-old Martin Sanchez Calderon had an active and extraditable warrant from New Mexico and during the arrest he actively resisted and repeatedly kneed one of the officers in the chest. Due to the continued non-compliance and physical aggression, an officer deployed his Taser to gain control. In addition to being brought in on the warrant, Calderon is also charged with 3rd Degree Felony Assault by a Prisoner.
