A Roosevelt man was arrested after a series of events during which he was breaking his ex’s belongings and watched as his ex was attacked and beaten. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct on State Street in Roosevelt and found the female caller crying in her car, her face severely swollen, and alleging that she was trying to get her belongings from the house but that her ex was breaking them. She also said that earlier that day she had been attacked by 3 women who were with her ex and he stood and laughed as they kicked her which was the cause of her injuries. Shattered and broken items were observed in front of the house. Officers knocked on the door and 28-year-old Cache Verl Connary came out and said he was breaking things but that he had not hit her. He was placed in handcuffs and detained in the back seat of the patrol vehicle so officers could speak with the complainant about what happened and what items she needed. An officer followed her inside to allow her to get some of her property during which time a dog came outside before being brought back in. Connary began yelling and beating the door of the patrol vehicle. Officers ordered him to stop but he continued. He was told to stop or he would go to jail but he continued. Connary was arrested and is charged with Disorderly Conduct, Property Damage/Destruction, and 2nd Degree Felony Burglary of a Dwelling. The Burglary charge is related to the incident earlier in the day when Connary allegedly kicked in a window to enter the home his ex was staying at and chased her outside where the group of girls were waiting and badly assaulted her. Connary was initially being held without bail. He had an Initial Appearance before the judge on February 25th where a Review Hearing was scheduled for March 31st and he was remanded to the supervision of PreTrial Services.
