Law enforcement caught up with a man who stole a vehicle last month in Roosevelt. 41-year-old Jarrod Timothy Reed has been charged with 1st Degree Felony Aggravated Robbery, 2nd Degree Felony Theft, and Misdemeanor Assault for events that allegedly occurred on November 26th at the Roosevelt Top Stop. According to court documents, Dispatch reported to officers a call that a person had been assaulted and the suspects had left in a yellow truck towards Lapoint. The individual said that Jarrod Reed needed a vehicle to get to Wyoming in the morning for a check in with his probation Agent. They planned to trade vehicles but when they arrived, Reed tried to steal the vehicle without trading. The individual tried to stop Reed and was physically assaulted until the yellow truck was taken. Officers were unable to locate Reed but he was transported to Duchesne County Jail and booked later after being located by another agency. Reed is being held without bail in the Duchesne County Jail.
