Serious injuries were reported following a crash in Maeser. Uintah County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 59 year old Idaho man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after the car he was driving collided with a truck pulling a trailer. On Friday, June 23rd, a midsize SUV was traveling westbound on 1500 North when the driver failed to stop at the stop sign at 3500 West 1500 North. The vehicle broadsided a truck traveling southbound on 3500 West. The collision pushed the truck into a power pole and then into a tree. One adult and two children in the truck were injured and transported to the hospital with minor to serious injuries. The driver of the SUV also sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. The Sheriff’s Office was grateful for those that stopped and helped.
