A man driving under the influence was arrested last week after an officer observed his vehicle swerving over the center line while traveling in Altamont. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, after being pulled over and when asked if he had been drinking, the driver said he had not and that his driving was due to mechanical issues from damage to the vehicle. After failing field sobriety testing it was determined that he was under the influence of drugs and he was placed under arrest. Two baggies of methamphetamine and a glass pipe were located on his person and 2 half empty bottles of liquor were behind the seat within the reach of the driver’s seat. 64-year-old Marvin Lee Jones was transported to the Duchesne County Jail and booked for DUI, among other charges.
