A Duchesne County man was arrested last week after admitting that he had thrown
knives at a juvenile after being accused of doing so. According to the Affidavit of
Probable Cause, a therapist was informed of an incident in August in which the man had
become so enraged that he threw a large kitchen knife at a juvenile that was walking
down a hallway. The knife allegedly hit the wall and bounced off. When the juvenile
went into a room and shut the door, the man stabbed a large pocket knife through the
door, allegedly near the juvenile’s head. When asked by a caseworker about the incident,
the man admitted that it happened in a moment of anger. He was taken into custody and
also disclosed to officers that the incident had occurred. 61-year-old Neal Meyers is
facing charges of 3rd Degree Felony Aggravated Assault and Misdemeanor Threat of
Violence.
