Locals are putting in the work to beautify Vernal City ahead of the busy summer season. On Friday, over 50 community members gathered downtown to clean up sidewalks, windows, and vegetation as part of the effort organized by Vernal City and the Vernal Downtown Alliance. “This is another great reason to love Vernal,” shared Mayor Hammond. “I’m impressed that so many volunteers showed up to help make a better City and take pride in Vernal.” Another group deserving of recognition is the Uintah Middle School Junior Honor Society who took on a service project to increase safety for students crossing the street. The students partnered with Vernal City Public Works to paint the curbs red in front of Ashley Elementary improving safety and sprucing up the area at the same time. Well done to all taking time to improve the community.
