A local school counselor has been recognized for her hard work. Uintah High School counselor Marysa Rhodes was awarded the Utah Career Guidance Award from the Utah Association for Career & Technical Education! “(Marysa) constantly puts in long hours and is always going out of her way to care for not only her students that she is assigned to, but all students at Uintah High School,” shared Brandon Aycock, district Work-Based Learning coordinator who nominated Rhodes for the award. “Marysa is a strong advocate of CTE and effectively educates students on the many opportunities available in CTE.” Rhodes has developed a guidance curriculum for Uintah High that counselors and teachers deliver to students on the first Friday of every month, shares the Uintah School District announcement. “Marysa was also a counselor at a local middle school for many years and has touched many lives throughout her career,” Aycock wrote in his nominating letter. “She is a great team player and is creative and innovative in her daily efforts as a counselor.” Congratulations Marysa on this well-deserved award!
