Local members of the Rural Utah Chamber Coalition traveled to Washington D.C. last month to lobby congressional representatives on relevant issues. The Rural Utah Chamber Coalition has had local roots since its inception when former Vernal Chamber Director Joel Brown envisioned a group made up of rural chamber leaders throughout Utah acting as a state and national lobbying organization. The goal of the Coalition has remained to give rural Utah a better legislative voice. Fulfilling that mission, a group of members from Chambers around the state traveled to D.C. together at their own personal expense during the month of May. Rural transportation issues were among the items the group invested time in lobbying for during this trip.
