Today is a very special day in the world of literacy and local libraries and schools are making it a week-long celebration. March 2nd is the birthday of Theodor Geisel, best remembered as the beloved Dr. Seuss. Because of this, March 2nd is utilized as a day to celebrate the importance of reading endorsed by the National Education Association and local libraries are all in on the celebration. The Uintah County Library is hosting daily story time at 10am and 11am as well as daily activities from 4 to 6pm with Friday being Dr. Seuss Character Day with a Seussical Walkthrusical from 2 to 4 on the library lawn. Check out the daily themes on the Uintah County Library Facebook page. The Roosevelt Branch of the Duchesne County Library System is also inviting the community to celebrate with them. Families are invited to visit the library and have fun at the photo op, play “I Spy”, and go on a Wocket scavenger hunt. Families can also take home a party kit with crafts, activities and even party favors! Just get to the Roosevelt Branch Library this week for some Dr. Seuss style fun!
