You’ve probably heard by now that the latest variant of COVID is highly contagious and making rounds in the Uintah Basin. Uintah Basin Healthcare reported that while they saw some decline in COVID, January is showing a new wave and all are encouraged to take precautions to slow the spread. “Our staff is very busy providing quality care for very sick community members – not only COVID patients, but other illnesses,” shares Uintah Basin Healthcare. “Common viral infections that we did not see last year are back, and more prevalent than in an average year. In addition to COVID, we are seeing a high count of croup, RSV, flu and other respiratory infections in all ages. Please follow precautions to protect the health of our community.” For more information, visit www.ubh.org/covid-19-information
