The Utah State Liquor Store in Vernal has reopened after a week-long closure. According to Terry Wood, Director of Communication with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, the Vernal store was closed on October 26th following the results of a positive test for COVID-19 in a store employee. Following procedures, the store was closed while Tri-County Health Department assessed the situation and no timeline was offered as to how long the store would remain closed. On Monday, November 2nd, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control announced that the Utah State Liquor Store in Vernal would open that day at 11:00am. Terry Wood, Director of Communication and Public Information, explained that the store had been professionally disinfected and sanitized.
