An oilfield service company that makes it a priority to serve in the community, focused those efforts this week on Veterans. Liberty Energy hosted a special Veterans Day lunch at the Vernal Golden Age Center. They looked for a Veteran owned caterer and got connected with Bayou BBQ to cater the lunch for nearly 100 senior citizens and Veterans. Representatives from Liberty Energy thanked the Veterans for their service and walked around and gave each one a special flashlight engraved with the words, “Thank you for your service”, as well as Thank You cards colored by students. The 1st graders from Terra Academy sang patriotic songs for the group and it was a special experience for all in attendance. “Liberty takes care of the community that we work in,” says Liberty Energy representative Rick Powell. “This was our first time doing something for the local Veterans and it was humbling. We’ll definitely do more in the future.”
