A group of locals who want to support others affected by cancer have organized the “Let’s Talk”: Uintah Basin Cancer Support Group and all are invited to participate. Group organizer Cecilia Sullivan says this month the topic will be foods that can help fight cancer. The guest speaker will be Audry Butler, nutritionist and health coach. The group rotates meetings between Roosevelt and Vernal and this month will be held in Vernal at the hospital. The meeting is this Thursday, September 13th, at 6:00pm in the conference room at Ashley Regional Medical Center. Next month, the meeting will be held in Roosevelt and the presenter will be Dr. Poulsen from UBMC, presenting on Breast Cancer as October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
