A stage production will soon join the list of ways that locals celebrate a miraculous and daring adventure that is part of regional history. “155 years ago John Wesley Powell and nine companions pushed off from Expedition Island in Green River, Wyoming. Three months later six men worn down to near death emerged out of the Grand Canyon successfully navigating the wild Green and Colorado Rivers. On June 24th, 2024 this story will be told” on the Outlaw Trail Theater stage. The debut of ‘Let’s Go – a John Wesley Powell Story’ is not the only exciting thing to see. The remodel of the amphitheater at Western Park is underway and anyone familiar with the venue will recognize the new seating and other new features to the stage and set. Tickets are available now for ‘Let’s Go – A John Wesley Powell Story’ at www.outlawtrailtheater.org.
