Roosevelt was host to a marvelous Easter kick-off experience. The Uintah Basin Interfaith Community productions of  ‘Lamb of God’ were held at the Union High School auditorium on Sunday. This sacred work features choir, orchestra, and soloists performing music about the death and resurrection of the Savior Jesus Christ. The special work brought talent from all over the Basin to help share its music and message. The choir had 121 members, including 13 soloists, and the orchestra had 55 musicians. The talent, dedication, passion, and faith filled the auditorium for both of their performances. Dr. Jane R. Fjeldsted was the guest conductor and the only person involved that was from outside the area. She conducts multiple choirs, is a singer and conductor for two production companies, has taught choirs for at-risk students and high schools, and has served on the boards of the Utah Music Educators Association and American Choral Directors Association of Utah. After the show received a standing ovation, Dr. Fjeldsted paid the talent of Uintah Basin, both the performers and organizers,  a huge honor in what she shared with the crowd. “Can I just say that it’s absolutely remarkable that you have this kind of talent here,” shared Dr. Fjeldsted. “This is incredible and anything that they do you should just fill this house. They are fabulous.”
