Keeping Love In Communities, known as KLiC, is a grassroots organization in Duchesne County that helps local families in need, especially those dealing with the extra challenges caused by cancer. The ‘KLiC and Drag’ will start with a classic car parade down Duchesne’s Main Street on June 29th at 6:30pm. The parade will honor local cancer survivors. After the parade, the event will meet at Roy Park where participants can take a closer look at the cars and purchase a food wristband for $5 as part of the fundraiser. There will be local entertainment from community members. The good time for a great cause will continue at 8:00pm with the KLiC and Drag contest. Anyone can participate for a fee of $10 dollars. Participants are given a list of tasks to complete while ‘dragging Main Street’ like the good ol’ days. Load your family or friends up for a cruise down memory lane. Car flags will be available to purchase and decorate to honor a cancer survivor to put on display. The event will wrap up at 10:00pm with prizes. All are invited to attend!
