There is no age limit when it comes to enjoying Free Fishing Day this Saturday but there will be some fun additional opportunities for kids locally. There will be support for those wanting to try fishing at Moose Ponds as well as an event at Lower Stillwater Ponds. The Kids Fishing Derby will run from 9am to noon on June 8th at Lower Stillwater Ponds. If you are just itching to get out and don’t need the extra support, local community ponds are a great option for beginners and make for a great place to take kids and other less experienced anglers. Old Fort Ponds are located in Uintah County and are stocked with bluegill, rainbow trout, tiger trout, and even a few largemouth bass. They are located at 2400 North 3250 West in Maeser.
