The artists behind graffiti that has popped up around Vernal have been identified and are facing consequences. Vernal Police shares that between August 15th and August 17th, officers responded to approximately 18 different locations throughout Vernal City on reports of vandalism, including graffiti and damaged property. “This vandalism has affected the appearance and welcoming nature of our community,” shares Vernal PD. “Our department is dedicated to maintaining a clean and inviting environment for all residents and visitors. Such criminal behavior is disheartening and does not reflect the values of our city. Through the efforts of our officers and detectives, we have identified three older juveniles responsible for the graffiti. These individuals reportedly gained their inspiration from a graffiti video on YouTube.” The juveniles are facing charges in juvenile court for the vandalism offenses.
