Considered among the most prestigious awards in ProRodeo, the PRCA Linderman Award has been awarded once again to the Basin’s own, Josh Frost. The Linderman Award is given to a professional cowboy who has won at least $1,000 in three separate events. The PRCA announced on Monday Frost as the 2021 winner sharing that this year Frost has earned over $130,000 in bull riding, over $4,000 in tie-down roping, and over $1,000 in steer wrestling. “It means a lot to me, I think it’s the most cowboy award we have in the sport of ProRodeo,” said Frost, a two-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier. “You have to compete on both ends of the arena in roughstock and timed events, so it’s an award that is hard to qualify for and especially hard to win.” Josh Frost, who has now been named the winner of the PRCA Linderman Award for 2021 and 2019, is actually the second member of his family to win the award. His brother Joe Frost was the winner in 2014. Josh Frost shared with ProRodeo that his goal every year is to be in the running for the Linderman and this year was more difficult than ever before. Congratulations and thank you Mr. Frost for representing the Basin so well.
