Every year, thanks to the Showalter Endowment Fund, a teacher is recognized in the Uintah School District for their excellence in teaching. The community nominates teachers and the Uintah Schools Foundation has the near impossible job of narrowing the pool down and selecting a recipient. The Foundation has announced that Mr. Quade Lance is the very deserving winner of the Showalter Endowment Excellence in Teaching Award for 2023. Mr. Lance teaches reading at Uintah Middle School and was nominated by students Lily Hardy and Brooklyn Batty. The award will be presented on April 6th at the Uintah School District Office at 6:30pm during the “Are you smarter than a 5th grader?” annual event. The foundation is honored to highlight teachers who help students feel valued and motivated to learn.
