Utah Representative John Curtis is vocal and clear on his position with a potential government shutdown looming. Curtis reintroduced a bill which prohibits members of Congress from being paid during a government shutdown. Curtis says the No Work, No Pay Act is a common-sense measure he holds himself to. In previous government shutdowns, he has his pay withheld until operations resume. This is the third Congress in which Curtis has introduced this legislation and, if government funding lapses on October 1st, it will be his fourth government shutdown while in office.
