We all know the last 14 miles traveling between Roosevelt and Vernal can drag on and even feel a bit painful after a long trip. Well imagine traveling those last 14 miles but you’re on foot pushing all your belongings in a cart, it’s dark, and you’ve been walking since you left Oregon.
Well days like that are the norm for Jake Sansing of ‘Jake Walks America’, a veteran and the author of ‘Walking America: A 10,000 Mile Journey of Self-Healing’. His goal is to raise enough money from book sales about his years walking across the United States to start a nonprofit campground that will be designed to help veterans with PTSD.
