Police are expected to release information today on an incident that occurred on Tuesday in Uintah County and resulted in at least one person being treated at Ashley Regional Medical Center. Community members certainly took notice of the scene on Tuesday afternoon outside the Ashley Regional Emergency Room entrance where officers had taped off the area and were searching a vehicle. On Tuesday evening, Naples Police Chief Nathan Simper responded to Evans Family Media’s request for information, stating, “This incident is actively being investigated. It is unknown where this occurred as of now as the subjects were traveling. We have one subject with injuries that are not life threatening. There is not any threat to the public. I do not have more than that to release at this time as the investigation is in its beginning stages.” Evans Family Media will update this story as information is made available.
