An intoxicated man was arrested this week in Uintah County after driving away from the officer that woke him up. According to the Probable Cause Statement, officers received a tip of an intoxicated driver on January 1st who was then located slumped over in the driver’s seat of the vehicle with the engine running. The officer woke the individual and ordered him to shut off the vehicle. The man placed the vehicle in gear, revved the vehicle’s engine, told the Officer ‘No’ and drove out of the parking lot. The man drove the vehicle to his residence and crashed the vehicle into a fence. 41-year-old Tyler Andersen was arrested and is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Failure to Stop at Command of Police and Misdemeanor DUI.
