The Community of Unity in Christ Interfaith Group is planning their annual service
project and hope all will participate. “We are aware of the rising overdoses and drug
problems in our area,” shares the group’s announcement. “Our aim this year is to bring
awareness to the community by supplying information and resources around Narcan use
and the benefit of having it on hand, addiction recovery and treatment resources as well
as mental health, self-care and community resources for elderly and many others.” The
community is invited to the park in front of the Uintah County Library on June 28th from
5 to 9pm to visit booths and have fun while getting educated. Tokens will be handed out
to the public as they go to the resource booths which can then be used at the food trucks
at the event. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
