An inmate in the Duchesne County Jail allegedly admitted to sprinkling meth on fellow inmates’ food and is now facing charges for the illegal behavior. 20-year-old Kane Olvera-Swain was arrested on October 21st on charges of lewdness, disorderly conduct, and drugs. ABC4 reports that while in the Duchesne County Jail, it was found that Kane had snuck a baggy of methamphetamine into the jail. According to the probable cause statement, inmates reported that Kane had been acting strange and it was indicated that he had placed drugs into other inmates’ food without them knowing. Kane admitted to sprinkling meth into other inmates’ food so that if his pod was drug tested he wouldn’t be the only one to test positive. Additional drug possession and distribution charges have been added to his list that has continued to grow since he became a legal adult. In July of this year, he entered a Guilty plea for felony theft charges and in 2023 he pleaded Guilty to felony Theft and Burglary.
