Inmate Adds To Running List Of Officer Assaults

A Jensen woman is now facing new felony charges as she has continued to assault
officers after being arrested on outstanding warrants in Uintah County this month. On
January 11th, 39-year-old Crystal Zelazny was a back seat passenger in a vehicle that was
stopped and it was discovered she had outstanding warrants. During the process of her
arrest and while being booked into Uintah County Jail, Zelazny added 3 counts of Felony
Assault Against a Peace Officer and Disorderly Conduct to her charges for delivering
kicks and drawing blood by scratching the officers. Two new felony counts have been
added to her rap sheet for events on January 17th while in custody. Zelazny was being
attended to by deputies and medical staff when the deputy asked if she was faking a
medical episode. Zelazny responded by charging and kicking the officer multiple times.
Her scratching, biting, and kicking earned her 2 counts of felony Assault by a Prisoner.
Zelazny is being held without bail.
