Locals have a place to share their art this month as part of Inktober! Inktober was created by art lover Jake Parker in 2009 as a challenge to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It has since grown into a worldwide endeavor with thousands of artists taking on the challenge every year. Anyone can take part in Inktober, just pick up a pen and paper. Uintah County Heritage Museum is supporting the community by allowing anyone to bring their sized 6 by 6 inked drawings to be hung at the gallery in the museum all of October!
They are also doing Sock-tober. If individuals bring in a package of socks to the Heritage Museum, they will get a free Buster Brown book. The socks are going to be donated to UBAOG and other services to help out our community! Just come to the front desk and donate new packages of socks.
