Colorado State Patrol has shared a reminder with the public that the season of winter weather is back again and drivers are urged to protect themselves and other drivers by being prepared and checking weather conditions before heading out. This reminder comes in the wake of a tragic extreme winter weather crash that took place on November 5th, claiming the life of a 38-year-old Craig man. Colorado State Patrol says the fatality resulted from a crash between a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck pulling a trailer on Highway 40. The severe icy road conditions caused Daniel Sundar Baker to lose control of his vehicle resulting in the fatal crash. A GoFundMe under the name ‘Community support of Daniel Baker’s family’ has generated support to help Baker’s wife and four young children.
