A man with a warrant for his arrest evaded officers who were called to the Neola rodeo grounds just before noon on July 25th with a report that the man had been spotted. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 50-year-old Vance Daniel Aguilar had been seen sitting with a woman at the northwest pavilion but was currently hiding in the announcers stand. When officers arrived they were unable to locate Vance. Multiple tips came in from individuals living nearby stating that he was hiding in the field to the west of the rodeo grounds but still he remained unfound. A few hours later, officers received a tip that Vance had been seen leaving a barn in the area officers had already searched. Meanwhile, a new report came in that he was hiding in an unoccupied home just north of the rodeo grounds. Officers arrived as Vance was attempting to leave the home and he was taken into custody. He was arrested and booked into the Duchesne County Jail. Vance Daniel Aguilar is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Violation of a Protective Order, Criminal Trespass and Criminal Mischief.
