by | Mar 26, 2020 | News | 0 comments

It is undeniable that COVID-19 has brought about numerous temporary changes. Recently, Airport Manager Doug Brown updated the Basin as to what has changed at the Vernal Regional Airport. He reports that Enterprise Car rental has shut down operations for two weeks and All-Save Car rental has shut down their office for the same time, though they are operating as needed out of Naples Auto Sales. United still has flights going, despite a severe decrease in numbers, with TSA still conducting screenings. The terminal building was cleaned by the Can-Do-Crew but with the school delaying until May 1st, the cleaning is done by airport employees with TSA and SkyWest employees helping out. The Airport Manager will speak with the Department of Transportation on Friday to hear “what they have to say regarding the current situation for essential air service airports.” He will keep the Basin updated to any news and changes.
