As the decline of honey bee colonies affects the world, the Uintah Basin is looking to address those needs by hosting the State of Utah Honey Bee Conference tonight,
November 8th, at 6pm
at the Uintah Conference Center. The Basin welcomes special guest speaker Sharah Yaddaw, Communications Director for Project Apis m. (PAm). PAm is a non-profit organization whose goal is to fund and direct research to enhance the health and vitality of honey bee colonies and in turn aid crop production. From hobbyists to commercial operators, plan to be involved so that Utah and the Basin can support honey bee health. Tonight’s conference
starts at 6pm
with a welcome from Kristopher Watson, Insect Program Manager, followed by a Summary of State Inspections, County Inspector Reports, and Bee Club Reports.
Starting at 8pm
will be a number of workshops focusing on helping bee colonies survive.
