It was an exciting day for many as Uintah Basin Healthcare broke ground on the expansion project taking place on their Roosevelt campus. In a Monday press release, Uintah Basin Healthcare provided details on the project: “Our Roosevelt Campus expansion will include a 21,000 square foot 3-story tower to expand South from the hospital’s main entrance,” shares UBH. “This tower will offer a new Infusion/Cancer Care Center, Women’s Health Center, dietary/cafe area, and future expansion space. In addition, renovation plans for existing areas include an expanded lab and surgery center, as well as relocating our Respiratory/Sleep Center, Gift Shop and Materials Management. Our fitness center and therapy services will also relocate in the near future to the old Shopko building (details coming soon!).” It was also noted that affected departments should continue with very little disruption throughout the project. Materials Management has been relocated to the old Moon Lake Electric building, just one block south of the hospital until their new space is completed. The project will begin immediately, and is expected to be completed in 18-24 months.
