Green River City Council Approves Contracts For Flaming Gorge Days

After the disaster of discovering all funds for Flaming Gorge Days were gone last year and having the person in charge arrested for larceny, there is some exciting news this week about the 2024 event. Sweetwater Now reports that the Green River City Council approved service agreements with a Denver-based event company for Flaming Gorge Days. While there was no major discussion about the agreements during Tuesday’s meeting, it was a split vote with 4 council members in favor and 3 against. The agreements are with the company Adelska in the amount of $21,500 dollars. This will cover the cost of the entertainment portion of Flaming Gorge Days. The duties for putting on other parts of the events, like the vendor fair and parade, have been split up. Some traditions, like the basketball and volleyball tournaments, are still being figured out. While Flaming Gorge Days was cancelled last year, it is for sure on for this year and is scheduled for June 28th and 29th.
