Many improvements will be or have been made in Ashley National Forest thanks to the Great American Outdoor Act that has an impact on recreation infrastructure. The act was signed into law in the summer of 2020 and enables federal land managers to take aggressive steps to address deferred maintenance and other infrastructure projects on national forests and grasslands.
