TriCounty Health Department is taking a break from their monthly virtual training in exchange for an in person meeting for wastewater professionals. The onsite wastewater professionals meeting was last held in February 2019 and was considered an important gathering of area professionals who are registered with TriCounty Health to install onsite wastewater systems. It has been missed and there are important updates and changes that have taken place since that last meeting. The meeting will discuss lot split clarification, inspections for alternative and large onsite wastewater systems, residential versus commercial systems, follow up on unapproved systems, and changes to the state graywater rule. TriCounty Environmental Health Scientist David Koons says the changes to the state graywater rule is a hot topic and one any citizen may be interested in. The public is invited to join this meeting as well or tune in once the recording is available on www.tricountyhealth.com. The Onsite Wastewater Professionals meeting is being held on Thursday, February 16th, in the TriCounty Health large conference room from 6 to 7:30pm.
