The TriCounty Health Department Walking Challenge kicked off on Tuesday at the Naples City Park and all are invited to get walking for weekly prizes and to be entered in the drawing for the grand prize. Ashley Linschoten, Health Educator with TriCounty Health Department, visited the Evans Family Media studios this week to spread the word on the benefits of walking and recruit participants. Ashley emphasized that getting out walking can actually boost your energy and be a great mood boost. You don’t need any extra equipment to do it and it’s just an excellent form of exercise for anyone. There is a ‘Walking Challenge’ button on the main page of TriCountyHealth.com that takes you to the details of the challenge and a form to fill out your steps for the week. TriCounty Health will be at a different park every Tuesday and you can come join or just go walking on your own. Participants can record their steps no matter where they are in Duchesne, Uintah, and Daggett County. Anyone that participates is entered to win and it all leads up to the Safe Kids Bash on August 11th at the Colton Pavilion from 10am to 1pm.
