Give’m Health: Building A Healthy Lifestyle In 2024

TriCounty Health Department wants all to have a great 2024 with healthy lifestyle changes. Health Educator Daniel Jackson visited the Evans Family Media studios this week to encourage the community in their individualized goals toward improved personal health. How do you reduce the friction between you and a challenging healthy habit? Jackson says the key is to make a plan with smaller steps that can build over time into positive changes in health. The way to make big changes, he says, is with small steps. It’s not about changing everything all at once but creating a new identity over time. Something that could help in that process is the Diabetes Prevention Program that has a new group starting up through TriCounty Health Department this month.
