The general season pheasant and quail hunt will open on Saturday November 5th. Utah’s Division of Wildlife Resources has some information that might help in your hunt. The DWR releases thousands of pheasants on various wildlife management areas and Walk-In Access properties around the state each week during the general-season hunt.
Visit the DWR website to see the release locations across Utah for the 2022 hunts. In Northeastern Utah, the majority of the wild pheasants in northeastern Utah are found in some agricultural areas on private lands. Remember to obtain written permission before hunting on private property. Hunters should try to target the areas where the DWR will release pheasants on the wildlife management areas in the region. This is also very true for quail.
