An RV show has taken on new life as plans come together for next month at the Western Park in Vernal. The Future Outdoorsman Expo will feature a fun and unique experience as a massive fishing pond will be placed inside the arena that will be stocked with 500 bluegill fish. The fishing pond is aimed at providing kids 12 and under with the thrilling experience of catching a fish, many for the first time. Part of the fun is that a fish cam will catch all the action and show the young anglers and their catch on a big screen broadcast in the arena and on screens throughout the Western Park. The event organizers presented the plans to the Vernal Chamber on Tuesday and the fun doesn’t end with the fishing experience. Kids 12 and under also get to collect wilderness badges as they adventure through the expo booths learning about all the outdoor adventures that the Uintah Basin has to offer. The event is part of the B&D RV show happening February 23rd and 24th at the Western Park. It is hoped this will turn into an annual event.
