Further details have been provided concerning the open Roosevelt City Council position. Roosevelt City shares that Councilman Vince Reiley and his family are moving out of Roosevelt, so his seat will be available. Reiley has approximately 2 ½ years left of his term so the Council will appoint someone to fill his seat from June to December. The remaining two-year term will then be filled through this year’s municipal election. Roosevelt City Offices up for election include Mayor and two City Council positions. Reiley’s vacancy will be filled at the regularly scheduled Council Meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1st, at the Roosevelt City Offices. Interviews will be held during this meeting. Residents of Roosevelt City that would like to apply need to submit a resume by Friday, May 28th.
