A fundraiser is being held Saturday evening to benefit an adorable community member. At just 3 weeks old, baby Kolter was rushed to the hospital because he was turning blue. He was treated for pneumonia but was not getting better. His condition worsened and the doctors concluded he was showing symptoms of Infant Botulism. The treatment has been long and hard for the little guy and he is now on a feeding tube and having problems with swallowing. He has been in the hospital for several months and will remain for as long as it takes for his body to recover and be out of danger. A raffle has been organized with the fundraising event this Saturday, September 28th, at the Freedom Hall & Academy in Vernal. There will be a $10 dollar entrance fee that includes a light dinner. Raffle tickets are $10 each and prizes include an Aero Precision AR-15 Rifle and more. You do not have to be present to win and can purchase tickets ahead of time or at the event. For more information, visit the Raffle for Baby Kolter Facebook event page or reach out to Destinie Bawden at 435-621-8868. Doors open at 5:30pm Saturday at the Freedom Hall, 528 West Main Suite A, and the raffle, which will also be broadcast LIVE on Facebook, starts at 7.
