A unique traveling art exhibit opens this week at the Duchesne Branch Library and every piece of work is from talented kids. “Each fall and spring the Duchesne Branch welcomes and sponsors a traveling art exhibit that is curated by the Utah Department of Arts and Museums,” shares Duchesne County Library Director Daniel Mauchley. “The cost is minimal and is a great opportunity to bring a variety of visual art twice a year in addition to the other great exhibits that come from our local artists in the county. This spring’s exhibit will be the winners of the recent PBS Kids Utah Writers & Illustrators Contest 2021.” The pieces include photography, drawings, paintings, as well as stories, poetry, and other creations. This was the 20th anniversary of the contest and its theme was ‘Celebrate the Great Outdoors’. All are invited to stop in the Duchesne Branch Library during library hours to see the exhibit. The display arrives on February 22nd and will be leaving on March 29th.
