The Uintah County Commission approved an agreement during Tuesday’s Commission
meeting that is part of plans for an exercise planned for next month. Uintah County
Emergency Manager Heidi Lundberg presented the agreement to the Commissioners,
explaining that first responders from Daggett County, Duchesne County, and Uintah
County will be conducting a full scale emergency exercise on April 20th on Highway 191. The scenario involves the school district and so arrangements have been made for
the use of one of the Uintah School District buses to make the scenario more realistic.
The Commissioners were presented with the indemnity agreement between Uintah
County and the Uintah School District. It was shared that the Uintah County Attorney’s
Office had reviewed the agreement and that it was good to go. The Commissioners
unanimously approved the agreement.
