The Uintah School Board was able to congratulate and recognize students on Wednesday evening who recently received state titles with the school’s Powerlifting Club. Jaron Weber won his third consecutive state championship in a field of 49 contestants, squatting 385 pounds, benching 265 pounds and deadlifting 435 pounds for a total weight of 1,045 pounds. Hadley Cook squatted 255 pounds, benched 175 pounds, and deadlifted 255 pounds for a total weight of 685 pounds on her way to her first state title. Riley McCreary squatted 190 pounds, benched 91 pounds and deadlifted 195 pounds for a total weight of 476 pounds on her way to her first state title. Tyler McDonald squatted 435 pounds, benched 310 pounds and deadlifted 465 pounds for a total weight of 1,210 pounds on his way to his first state title.
