TriCounty Health’s Flu Shootout event is taking place over two days this week. The
annual Flu Shootout started in 2015 as the first TriCounty Health drive up vaccination
clinic that put into practice the health department’s Point of Dispensing plan. While
dispensing the flu vaccine to the community is a priority every year, the Flu Shootout was
a way for the staff to practice dispensing a vaccine on a large scale in case of a pandemic.
Needless to say, they no longer need the practice thanks to 2020 but the Flu Shootout
continues as a great opportunity for the community to get their flu shot in a quick and
convenient way.
There will be four locations on Wednesday and Thursday, October 5th
and 6th, from 4 to 7pm. The locations are the Manila Clinic, TriCounty Health in Vernal,
USU campus in Roosevelt, and Duchesne High School. The shot is free with insurance or
$25 without insurance. Wear short sleeves and bring your ID.
