The former manager of Roosevelt’s McDonald’s was recently arrested and is facing a felony theft charge from her time as a McDonald’s employee. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 29-year-old Nikita Ami Martin stole over $26,000 dollars from the store’s cash deposits and the owner of the Roosevelt McDonald’s had a signed confession and video to hand over to the police along with their own witness statement. The owner’s statement shared that Martin stole nearly $13,000 dollars in March and over $13,000 dollars in April. They reached an agreement that she could continue in her position if she provided a notarized confession letter and a confession video and that she no longer steal. In June it was found she stole again, this time over $4,000 dollars. At this point her employment was terminated and the evidence was turned over to police. The confession letter from Martin stated that at the beginning of April she had gone to jail and had a friend bail her out but she needed to pay back her friend right away. She took the cash from the McDonald’s cash deposits to pay that amount back and to pay to get her vehicle back that had been impounded. Martin appeared to have skipped town until October 25th when she went to the Duchesne County Jail to bail another individual out. While there she was placed under arrest and booked on the charge of 2nd Degree Felony Theft for the cash stolen during her time as the Roosevelt McDonald’s manager.
