A Duchesne County Jail inmate is facing new felony charges after Grand County investigators utilized a search warrant to access material on the man’s phone. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 53-year-old Samuel Ray Nielsen was being investigated for charges involving Enticement of a Child and a search of his phone located hundreds of images and videos of Child Sexual Abuse Material involving young children from the age of a few months to about 16-years-old. There was also a video taken by Nielsen filming pre-pubescent females walking home from school and on the video Nielsen can be heard making sexual noises. Nielsen was interviewed at the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office and he confirmed that he made the video and he is who can be heard on the video. Nielsen has since been transferred and is incarcerated in the Utah State Prison for charges involving lewdness and theft. The new charges filed against him this week include ten counts of 2nd Degree Felony Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
